MARIE-CAROLINE
Director and Manager
Teaches Pilates
Passionate about dance and gymnastics since childhood, Marie-Caroline practiced classical dance, modern jazz, apparatus gymnastics and discovered pole dancing in 2007 during a long stay in Australia. A new passion was born for this discipline which combines strength, grace and flexibility and which she now practices at the Elite level. She has national and international titles.
Marie-Caroline studied at the Haute Ecole de Gestion in Geneva, worked for many years in the banking sector and then decided to start teaching Pole Dance in 2010, in parallel with her job. In 2013, she decided to open her own studio, Aerial Dance Geneva, and devote herself full time to her passion.
What she likes about teaching is to see the satisfaction of a student when she succeeds in accomplishing something that she never thought she could do when she started out. She likes to pass on her knowledge and help her students gain self-confidence and progress.
She has taken courses with the greatest personalities in the field of Pole Dance as well as the Pole Dance instructor training with the Vertical Dance school in London, the Floor Flow Instructor training with Marlo Fisken in Milan and the Flexibility Instructor training with Elevated in New York. In 2015, she discovered Pilates which led her to follow the Pilates instructor training at the Swiss Pilates Institute. She has been practicing Pilates since then and incorporates it into her training and teaching. It is therefore quite natural that she decides to dedicate one of the rooms of her studio to Pilates and Yoga and creates the entity Aerial MVMT in 2020. In 2021 she completes her Pilates training with the Pilates Apparatus training and begins to teach Pilates at the Reformer.
She is also an IPSF certified coach and judge as well as organizer of the Aerial Dance Show which takes place every two years in Geneva. She chairs the Geneva Association of Aerial Dances, which aims to promote aerial disciplines and organize events around these disciplines.
